"Important reading for all who want to explore the interface between new, scientific understandings of the universe and their personal spiritual journey. In this work Jim Schenk interweaves his own spiritual quest with well-selected insights from some key thinkers on questions such as “Who or What is God in an expanding and evolving universe?” “Why are we here?” “What does it mean to be human?” “Where are we going?” and “What happens after death?” Such questions of ultimacy and meaning are at the heart of all authentic religions, but responders in this volume go beyond old, limited concepts and open new pathways of wisdom illuminated by the new cosmology. Every page informs and inspires. I will revisit this collection often and share it with others." |
